
Vinnie Cervantes is a founder and Organizing Director of Denver Alliance for Street Health Response (DASHR) which works to create and support community-based responses to conflict and crisis as alternatives to policing and jail. DASHR has been instrumental in launching the STAR pilot program and other non-police emergency responses outside of Denver. In addition to being part of DASHR, Vinnie is on the board of directors for The Conflict Center and Colorado Jobs With Justice and a founding member of the Enough Action Coalition. He has also served as one of the tri-chairs of the Colorado Poor People’s Campaign and is a current student at CU Denver seeking a Masters degree in Political Science.
