Michael possesses a passion for design and for creating environments that are informed by the human experience while also responding to society’s growing complexity. With qualifications in Architecture and Creative Intelligence and Innovation, Michael has had the pleasure (and challenge) of working within Australia and overseas on significant infrastructure projects and transformative city-shaping ventures across a number of scales. From small scale urban interventions to the design, construction and management of urban renewal precincts, Michael is an advocate of the value data brings to empowering good design outcomes for an evolving built environment.
Michael’s practice is grounded in his work with corporate think-tanks and his teaching positions at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in both the Faculty of Design, Architecture and Building and the Faculty of Transdisciplinary Innovation. These have served as the foundation for the emergence of considered, collaborative and innovative processes and guide his current work delivering projects within the Property & Place portfolio at City of Parramatta Council.
