
Mark Shaffer serves as SolutionsPath Consultant for Tech Data Advanced Solutions, Americas, reporting to Jack Donato. In this role, Mark leverages Tech Data’s Practice Builder program to equip Tech Data’s business partners with the strategies to develop and deliver IoT/A solutions within vertical markets. He is responsible for empowering Tech Data partners with the knowledge, tools and resources necessary to accelerate growth.
In 2004, Mark was a founding member of the team that created and continued to refine GE Access’s Government Practice, which has evolved into Tech Data Government Solutions. In 2012, he expanded his role into healthcare and achieved his CPHIMS Certification. In 2019, he was asked to develop Tech Data’s smart city strategy, and continues to consult partners in smart cities, public sector, and healthcare verticals.
Mark joined Tech Data via Access Graphics in September 1997 as a Business Development Manager. After GE Capital purchased Access Graphics, Mark went on to serve in various roles including Manager of Business Development, Manager of Demand Generation, and Government Development Manager, at GE Access. In 2007 Avnet Technology Solutions purchased GE Access and Mark launched GovPath, which is now Tech Data Government Solutions after ATS was acquired by Tech Data in 2017.
Mark is a 1990 graduate of Saint John Fisher College in Rochester, NY and today, lives in Arvada, Colorado with his wife and two sons, each pursue their passion for the outdoors by skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, scuba diving, and riding motorcycles.
