
Jenn Rivers supports the DOE Office of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs in their work exchanging ideas and information with state, local, and tribal government officials and other organizations. She joined DOE in 2016 as an Energy Technology Program Specialist in the Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy office.
Ms. Rivers was previously Vice President of Operations at the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure, and has extensive experience in environmental and environmental-security analysis, public outreach, and sustainable engineering design. She is also an Army veteran who served as an Ordnance officer in Germany, Kuwait, and Iraq.
Ms. Rivers has a Master’s degree in Natural Resources and Sustainable Development from the U.N. University for Peace in Costa Rica, a Master’s degree in International Affairs from the American University School of International Service, and a Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
